All of our students are given live shows at our club events in Newtown! Our events are a great opportunity to get live experience and meet like minded DJs and industry people. Playing live is not compulsory but no matter what you decide to do we will teach you to DJ at a standard good enough to headline club events with confidence. Are you ready to accept our challenge?

Once you have graduated from SDS and feel you are ready, our team will make certain that you get experience playing live and that you have the tools needed to assure that your shows are successful, assuring repeat gigs.
We have also designed bonus content on Marketing, and Playing Live sharing marketing tips and industry insights with priceless information on how to get shows, how the industry works, how to brand and market yourself as a DJ, as well as tips on developing your DJ profile/bio.
On graduation you will be offered live shows at the Blue Fig in the heart of Newtown. This is such a great venue and has been the launching pad for many successful DJs and is the perfect pace for you to get some experience and also showcase your skills in front of a crowd. It also gives you something to work towards which is a great motivating force and will help tighten your skills big time. We get people club ready, that's our thing!
Sydney DJ School has close connections with many venues and promoters all around Australia and we pride ourselves on being a launching pad for people wanting experience and the chance to expand their network.
Many of our DJs play regularly at big named venues around Australia (Ivy, Home, Chinese Laundry, Sash, Deeper Than House, World Bar, Candys Apartment, Craze, to name a few) and 1 of our students (Jessica Cross) played at Stereosonic and 2 of our students (Jessica Cross and Kevin Hucker) played at last years Defqon).
